Bang on target
Article Abstract:
The Japanese stockmarket dropped on January 10, 1997, despite the finance minister's assurances that the economy was strong. Similar situations have happened elsewhere, such as before the Wall Street crash in 1929 and before Black Monday in 1987. Japan needs to reform its stock market and bring in a greater element of competition if it is to avoid a crash. Wall Street, and the other world markets, are affected by the Japanese markets and are in danger of crashing along with it.
