The sky's the limit

Article Abstract:

Canada's tourism industry has posted revenues of C$47 billion in 1998, up by 7% from 1997. Government revenues raised by tourism increased to C$13.6 billion during the period. The industry generated 518,300-person years of direct employment in 1998, up by 3% from 1997. The uptrend has spilled over to 1998 with overall tourism revenues of C$12.2 billion in the 1st half of 1999, up by 5.8% from the year-ago period.

The building complex owned by Gooderham and Worts distillery, found in 1832 and now dysfunctional, had been turned in to an arts, entertainment and dining center. The complex housing independent artist's studios, high - end galleries, boutiques and eateries was featured in Hollywood movies, music videos and in a Canadian television serial.

The forecast and sales projections of food industry for year 2005 and a statistics of sales for year 2004 are presented for each state of Canada. According to the report, there was growth in sales in some provinces in year 2004 however a little decrease in sales for year 2005 is projected.
