The Catholic Church in Chicago is facing issues ranging from a restless flock to budget deficits to a worrisome shortage of priests, all of which threaten various aspects of its mission. The church is at a crossroads to find a solution to the problems plaguing it, which will determine its future activities and how those activities in turn shape the city.
