The new trials of William Kennedy Smith

Article Abstract:

Audra Soulias, who was working for William Kennedy Smith's organization, Center for International Rehabilitation (CIR) has claimed that he had sexually assaulted her six years ago and has sexually harassed and intimidated her and other women at CIR. William Kennedy Smith's supporters feel that Audra Soulias is interested in pulling money from him as she had filed for bankruptcy and her lawyers had asked for $3-million for settling the case just before filing the lawsuit.

Death in a happy place

Article Abstract:

The number of animals dying at the Lincoln Park Zoo is increasing with the death of eight monkeys within seven months and three elephants, two gorillas and a camel. The People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals (PETA) group and the other people are outraged as a result of this who believe that the zoo is mismanaged and that its keeper, Kevin Bell, should resign.

Malpractice Math: 1 dead newborn + 1 missed blood test = $30 million

Article Abstract:

The case regarding alleged malpractice by Homefirst Health Services with reference to Na'eed Shahid, who lived only for sixteen days, is described. The trial resulted in a $30-million judgment in favor of Na'eed Shahid's parents, thus creating a state record for the highest amount meted out for malpractice in the state of Illinois.
