Article Abstract:
A veteran professional hunter, Joe Coogan, discusses about what he learned about optics and Africa during the past three decades and concludes that sights such as the Cape buffalo and bull elephants are best viewed through high-quality binoculars. Accepting the advantage of improved viewing, he believes that fixed power scopes are superior to variables as they travel more reliably and weathers rough conditions.
