Article Abstract:

A fire department chaplain, an advocate for ordaining women, the local exorcist, a devout attorney, and an abuse victim are just a few people who represent the diversity of backgrounds and concerns under Chicago's Catholic Church. A brief account of the life and work of Chicagoans such as Reverend Tom Mulroney, chaplain of the Chicago Fire Department, and Sister Rosemary Connelly, executive director of Misericordia Home, is presented.

The grape escape

Article Abstract:

Stephen A. Kaplan is well-known for his extensive wine collection, featuring numerous rare vintages. Kaplan was a relative neophyte in the world of wine when he began educating himself and collecting in 1989. In 1994, he hosted an extravagant wine tasting party that featured 59 of his vintage wines and food from numerous acclaimed local chefs. Since that event, he has achieved rare status in the wine world.
