The article discusses importance and actual implementation of various issues that are categorized as science in the petitions filed by the U.S. presidential candidates. Science debate cannot be properly discussed politically and confronts several hurdles during their practical implementation.

Shattered illusions
Article Abstract:
The author discusses the final budget for research decided by the U.S. Congress for the year 2008. The findings show that the budget was highly cut down, which has left the scientists with very little funding for the researches.
