Bass note
Article Abstract:
A frenzy of striped bass is an inspiring sight at Block Island, Rhode Island, because of the poor state of marine resources in the 1990s. The National Marine Fisheries Service reported to Congress in 1997 that 96 fish stocks needed immediate protection to rebuild their population. Among the list of species was cod, Atlantic salmon, bluefin tuna, and swordfish.
