Between fish and amphibian
Article Abstract:
The morphological features of the newly discovered genus Eliginerpeton along with Obruchevichthys help understand the evolution of terrestrial amphibians from their fish ancestors. Elginerpeton's skull and jaw bones exhibit both fish and amphibian features. These fish fossils show that transformation between osteolepiform fish and land vertebrates occurs through radiations in an aquatic environment.

Research describing Eocene fossils discovered in Jamaica is presented, with focus on the characteristics of an entire sirenian skeleton. Particular attention is given to the animal's motion capabilities, on land, as well as in water.
