Just skip it
Article Abstract:
A new study suggests that skipping, the action carried out by young children at play, is biomechanically similar to the galloping gait of quadrupeds. When people run and dogs trot they use springs to reduce the amount of work done by the muscles and it is suggested that two skipping bipeds joined at the trunk are like a galloping quadruped. Skipping is abandoned by adults because it is tiring, jolting and slow.
