Bottom water warming in the North Pacific Ocean
Article Abstract:
The detection of change in bottom water being extremely difficult, the observations of changes in the properties of ocean waters have been restricted to surface. A comparison of a trans-pacific survey is presented which concludes that the deepest waters of the North Pacific Ocean have warmed significantly.

Lysyl oxidase is essential for hypoxia-induced metastasis
Article Abstract:
Lysyl oxidase (LOX) expression is regulated by hypoxia-inducible factor (HIF) and is associated with hypoxia in human breast and head and neck tumors. The LOX is essential for hypoxia-induced metastasis and is a good therapeutic target for preventing and treating metastases.
