Constraints on the duration and freshwater release of Heinrich event 4 through isotope modelling
Article Abstract:
A study is conducted where a climate model of intermediate complexity is used to calculate the distribution of oxygen isotopes in the ocean to simulate Heinrich event 4 at about 40,000 years ago. The results indicate that the consequences of Heinrich events were less severe than previously assumed, at least with respect to Greenland climate and sea level.

CO self-shielding as the origin of oxygen isotope anomalies in the early solar nebula
Article Abstract:
The time-dependent calculations of CO photodissociation in the cooler surface region of a turbulent nebula are reported. If the surface were irradiated by a far-ultraviolet flux~10(super 3) times that of local interstellar medium, then substantial fractionation of the oxygen isotopes was possible on a timescale of ~10(super 5) years.

Isotopic homogeneity of iron in the early solar nebula
Article Abstract:
Research is presented concerning the evolution of the isotopic and chemical homogeneity of the solar nebula in its early stages. The measurement of the abundance of three isotopes of iron in extra-terrestrial and terrestrial materials is discussed.
