Environmental Education as a Component of Multidisciplinary Conservation Programs: Lessons from Conservation Initiatives for Critically Endangered Fruit Bats in the Western Indian Ocean
Article Abstract:
The article evaluates environmental education programs and their outcomes regarding public awareness and conservation of three endangered fruit bat species in the islands of the Indian Ocean. The programs were found to have a positive affect in achieving conservation goals.
