Evaluation of rules to distinguish unique female grizzly bears with cubs in Yellowstone

Article Abstract:

A study was conducted to determine the accuracy of the method used to determine the number of female grizzly bears with cubs in Yellowstone area. Results showed that the method presented conservative figures but minor changes in the method might give improved results.

Possible effects of elk harvest on fall distribution of grizzly bears in the greater yellowstone ecosystem

Article Abstract:

Hunting of grizzly bears next to Yellowstone National Park (YNP) is discussed. The increased injustice done against these bears and the involvement of humans in hunting down these species is highlighted.
