Our limited ocean
Article Abstract:
Most people correlate the words "ocean" and "vast" but the limits of what the ocean can produce have been exceeded. Evidence of the impact humans have had on the ocean has mounted. The ocean supplies food and employment to a large part of the world's population and regulates climate. The UN declared efforts to focus on the ocean in the International Year of the Ocean, 1998.
