Rain, winds and haze during the Huygens probe's descent to Titan's surface

Article Abstract:

The surface atmosphere of the Titan is being studied by spectra and high-resolution images obtained by the Huygens probe Descent Imager/Spectral Radiometer. The images show traces of once flowing liquid, a dry riverbed, presence of a surface or substrate methane reservoir and haze particles, reinforcing the view that processes on Titan's surface are more similar to those on the Earth than anywhere else in the Solar System.

Phyllosilicates on Mars and implications for early martian climate

Article Abstract:

The unambiguous detection of diverse phyllosilicates, a family of aqueous alteration products, on the basis of observations is reported by the OMEGA imaging spectrometer on board the Mars Express spacecraft. The two main families of hydrated alteration products detected phyllosilicates and sulphates result in a different formation process.
