Article Abstract:
The Computed Tomography (CT) scan is exposing the patients to radiation that is 10 times more than X-ray examination. A radiology conference, held in Chicago, Illinois in 2001 is revealing that 30 percent of the pediatric scans are unnecessary. The appropriate use of technology is much more beneficial as compared to the risk involved.
