The evolution of a hunt

Article Abstract:

The Inuit merge their walrus hunting tradition with a modern market, and their homeland Nunavut is rich in wildlife but poor in cash and the ban imposed by the Canadian government regarding hunting of walrus had no effect on them and they retained their cultural identity hunting for sustenance. The modern trend the Inuit has adopted to bind their cultural and financial needs is by selling a small portion of their government walrus quota to big-game hunters.

Why is this dam here?

Article Abstract:

Dams were once thought to create jobs, provide drinking and irrigation water, and flood control, but studies show they disrupt free-flowing rivers and destroy aquatic habitats and fish migration. As the federal commission revaluates the real value of dams, a conservationist movement is gaining momentum to remove some dams as a way of restoring the environment.
