Alzheimer's in real time

Article Abstract:

A mouse model is studied to explain the on-set of Alzheimer's disease in humans, which is usually characterized by the presence of amyloid beta protein deposits or plaques in the brain. The results show that plaques are extremely fast growing substrates hence can even grow overnight and are a poor indicator of the disease.
