Anne Klein and Assoc Inc's co-founder Frank X. Long died at the age of 75. Working for 46 years in public relations, Long started his career with New York, NY-based NW Ayer and Assoc in 1954 and joined Philadelphia, PA-based ARAMARK Corp, formerly ARA Services Inc, in 1964. Long was awarded the Maxine Elkins Award for Excellence in Public Relations as well as the Paul S. Lund Award for public service, the Silver Anvil national award for excellence, four Pepperpot Awards and the Educator's Award.

Ed Callahan dead: popular adv. exec

Article Abstract:

Callahan Assoc founder Edward F. Callahan died of liver cancer in Feb 2001 at the age of 77. He operated his advertising agency for more than 30 years. Before he became an agency owner, Callahan worked as national sales manager for WPEN-AM. Some of his major accounts are Downey's Restaurant in Philadelphia, PA, and Ferraro Cadillac in Springfield, Delaware County. Callahan was working on new advertisements for Pacifico Airport Valet just days before he died.

Article Abstract:

Some of the models from Philadelphia, PA-based Askins Models, which closed after 16 years of operations, have signed up with another local firm, Reinhard Model and Talent Agency. These models include Joey Elmo, Arlene Kinney, Deborah Lassiter and Valerie Seibert. Reinhard, which has been in the business for 23 years, also offers special services, including makeup artisits, hair stylists, dessers, commentators and singers.
