Dorland Sweeney Jones Pres and COO Rita Sweeney, who cofounded the agency to provide advertising services to healthcare and pharceutical clients, has been honored with the 2000 Sarah Award. The Philadelphia Chapter of Women in Communications, the sponsor of the award, cited Sweeney's contributions to the advertising industry for being chosen for the award. The Sarah award is given to women who excel in the communications field.

FabGORDON Advertising Agency's gun logo, which shows a gun pointed pointblank at the observer, is seen as an offensive artwork and is criticized by the Philadelphia City Representative's Office. The Philadelphia, PA-based agency, whose clients include HBO regional and Pure Pride Spring Water, reasoned that the company's logo represents a targeting and an impact that is shown by fabGORDON's advertising.
