Concrete concepts

Article Abstract:

Concrete applications in agriculture are expected to improve greatly with recent advances in concrete technology. Super plasticizers or high-range water reducers, for instance, create more flowable and more cohesive concrete when substituted for water. Engineers looking for high levels of resistance to corrosion, chemical attack and other damaging conditions could opt for high-performance and high-strength concrete. Several innovations have also been introduced in concrete paving and concrete wall construction and masonry-unit design.
