On the dilemma of a horn: the horned shamans of West Mexico

Article Abstract:

A small clay sculpture that has two figures curl and turn around each other, joined together as they have been for perhaps two thousand years is described. This sculpture also presents a small example of the way archaeology works, moving towards understanding of the past in halting steps and ethno-history in the quest to enhance pure knowledge of the past.
