Past, present, future: perception of the time through the ages

Article Abstract:

Earlier, the ancient civilizations boasted intricate calendars inspired by the regularity of the heavens- the daily motions of the sun, the monthly waxing and waning of the moon, the annual parade of the seasons. The various other methods that indicated the passage of time in the ancient period are discussed.

Banking on stone money

Article Abstract:

Rai of the Yapese is considered as one of the largest objects ever carved across an open ocean by native Pacific Islanders. The stone rai is used as money by the yap for a variety of social transactions from marriage gifts to political payoffs.

Hidden history of Ralston Heights

Article Abstract:

The history of the Ralston Heights, a mansion along the northern slope of central New Jersey's Hopewell Valley, is described. It was built by the leader of the Ralstonism, Webster Edgerly.
