Caricature in Spain

Article Abstract:

Caricature artists from Spain have made their marks in the field of graphic humor in the 19th and 20th centuries, and the best-known caricature artist is Francisco de Goya y Fuentes. Goya began the art form with pictures that satirically depicted the trials of human life. The pictures evolved into statements about politics and political propaganda, and as society became more educated and knowledgeable about the nature of caricatures, the art became more prominent. The prevalence of newspapers and political and social changes have allowed the use of caricature to thrive in Spain.

Gaining ground

Article Abstract:

A company wishing to set up an office in Eastern Europe must be aware of the physical risks, particularly in some volatile areas, such as Chechnya. English is often spoken in Eastern Europe but differences in culture may have an impact on any negotiations. Most Eastern Europe countries will honour ownership agreements but disputes may take a long time to resolve in the courts. Companies should impose strict standards of professional behaviour on their staff to help discourage criminality. It is necessary to employ a local adviser and an interpreter when agreeing lease terms.
