David E. Berman owns the house built and named Trustworth in 1889 by educator and artist Henry Turner Bailey. Trustworth shows the influence of the Arts and Crafts Movement in decorative arts. Berman keeps this original motif with antique Bailey pieces and with his own Arts and Crafts reproductions.

Just like old times

Article Abstract:

American artists David McDermott and Peter McGough spend their weekends at Tripp House, a country home in the Catskill Mountains, NY. The house was built in 1800 and is exactly as it was in 1888, with no plumbing, electricity or telephone. The house is furnished with 18th and 19th century furniture.

The long way home

Article Abstract:

Richard Hill Burton's Petersburg, VA, home, Woodland, was built in 1775 and first owned by Burton's ancestors in 1834. The Burtons lost ownership in 1978 because of lack of funds, but Richard was able to buy it back in 1989. The house is built in Georgian and Federal styles.
