Ratcliff Architects is a diverse architecture and planning firm based in Emeryville, CA, with 90 years of service behind it. Technology in the age of interdependence

Article Abstract:

The US allocated 65.5% of its research and development budget to defense related projects in 1989 while Germany and Japan directed the bulk of their budgets to enhancing the socioeconomic impact of technological researches. Furthermore, the spillover of high-technology developments from the military complex to the commercial sector has slowed down. The industry should ensure its lead in science-related industries by adopting an activist technology policy.
