Project-specific Web sites

Article Abstract:

Project-specific Web sites (PSWS) can be used by the construction industry not just for marketing purposes but for providing authorized persons with access to specific project data on a secure Web site. Some reasons for having a PSWS include the minimization of miscommunication among project team members; reducing expenses for mail, messengers, copies and blueprints; and for security. Some providers with PSWS are ProjectCenter by EVOLV, ProjectNet by BlueLine and Aspects Sitebuilder by Framework Technologies.

How to find it on the Net

Article Abstract:

The right Internet search skills connote easy navigation and improved researching. The Net has several tools that facilitate searching such as Indexes or Directories which enable easier spotting of Web site names for any subject. These directories may fall under either Yahoo! or Magellan which contain lists of Web sites that have registered with their particular index. Other tools include search engines which help by finding individual text on each page of a Web site which matches the subject being searched.
