Reshaping Chapin

Article Abstract:

The task of renovating and planning an addition for the Chapin School for girls in Manhattan, NY, fell to Butler Rogers Baskett (BRB), an architectural firm that has designed some of the city's most renowned educational institutions. BRB was able to offer a solution to the problem that is most often associated with New York schools, lack of space. The result is a two-and-a-half story addition that not only solved the problem of space limitations but also served to physically unify Chapin's different school levels.
