Sunrider International headquarters

Article Abstract:

Rosetti Associates and Fong Miyagawa Design Associates have built a modern building that incorporates Chinese traditions for Sunrider International. The architectural firm consulted with geomancers or feng shui practitioners to align the spaces and walls according to positive natural forces. The interior design also uses symbols such as the Yin and Yang as well as pools of lucky carp. However, the whole building is modern in the way it uses glass, stone, marble and stainless steel.

Lynn Harrison solved the circulation problem by transferring the main entrance to the center, creating a more direct access to the three main dining rooms and other areas. The interior design integrated the use of Japanese graphic forms, different textures and rich color schemes to produced a warm and interesting ambience.
