The Official All Star Cafe

Article Abstract:

Restaurateur Robert Earl and David Rockwell of the Rockwell Group teamed up to build the sports-themed Official All-Star Cafe on Times Square, NY. The 40,000-sq-ft, 600 seater occupies the first two floors of the Bertelsmann building which also houses a Virgin Records Megastore and a Sony Theater fourplex. The restaurant interior has poured-rubber floor and goal-post padded walls. It also has a main seating area where the carpeting resembles that of a soccer field. In addition, baseball gloves form the booths at the perimeter and tablecloths are reminiscent of old baseball uniforms.
