Chilean consumers are more aware of design and are willing to spend money on well designed products, and Chilean companies realise that they must start using design properly to compete in the world market. Consultantcies are attempting to meet the demands of the country's industries, such as Santiago, which recently designed a new telephone booth for CTC, the Chilean telecommunications company. Argentina will find it more difficult to enter the international market because of its limited infrastructure causing problems with transportation.

UK diet survey shows pre-school children generally healthy
Article Abstract:
A survey commissioned by the Ministry of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food (MAFF) and the Department of Health, undertaken by the Office of Population Censuses and Surveys (OPCS), found that pre-school children are well nourished, although energy intakes were below recommendations. Also, 12% of children in the 1.5-2.5 age group were anaemic indicating that iron levels need to be increased. 17% of children experienced tooth decay, compared to 40% in 1968.
