Come together

Article Abstract:

The definition of New Media is investigated at the Hakone Forum and Multimedia Festival in Japan, organised by Apple Computer. It broke the concept down into three aspects, technology, content and infrastructure. The technology already exists, but has not yet penetrated everyday life, cables have become thinner and fibre optics more sophisticated. To demonstrate content, Apple displayed submissions from designers and publishers. Infrastructure investigates the part that designers will play in the development of New Media.
