The soul of the company

Article Abstract:

The result of a Mori survey on international attitudes to corporate identity commissioned by specialist designer Henrion Ludlow & Schmidt finds scant agreement on what is meant by corporate identity. The survey of senior management finds that most people have different views on the definition of the term although they agree that it is an important concept. While most companies say they have a corporate policy, the methods by which they think this is communicated varies widely. The survey was carried out in West Germany, France, the UK, Austria, Belgium, Spain, Scandinavia and the Netherlands.

Living thing

Article Abstract:

Identity consultants Idex and its US subsidiary Fitch were commissioned by Izumiya, a Japanese supplier of design materials, to reinvent the company's image. After lengthy research, they renamed the company .Too. This name was chosen to give an English sound to the name which symbolises western influence in Japan and the terminal punctuation before the name gives the idea that there is something beyond. To commemorate the company's 70th anniversary, there are plans to promote commemorative events, issue a commemorative publication, organise a ceremony and restructure corporate philosophy.
