Article Abstract:

The phenomenal success of Quark XPress pagination has forced proprietary system vendors to hitch their own products tothe Macintosh-based system. The scramble to adapt to the Quark XPress system was made evident at the American Newspaper Publishers Assn Technical Expositionand Conference (ANPA/TEC). Some of the Macintosh applications demonstrated at ANPA/TEC were evaluated according to performance in last-minute adjustment, layout experimentation, ease of use for novices, story-version tracking, speed and backup and data management strategy.

Article Abstract:

In East Jerusalem on April 12 1996 a bomb shattered a hotel in a blast that was thought to be a gas leak. Several clues such as a badly injured man crying out in Arabic enabled the Israeli secret police to piece together the action of Hezbollah from the bomber, who survived his injuries.
