Doug and Mike Starn

Article Abstract:

The work of Doug and Mike Starn explores the intersection of art, culture, history, religion, mythology and science by combining textual and visual elements in their lightbox collages. The works include layers and layers of documents that can be read all at once because of the sun-like light glowing at the cores of the works. The Starns' work focuses on the sun, and they have been invited by NASA to be artists-in-residence in the NASA Art Program.
