Just a song at twilight

Article Abstract:

A new dance by Paul Taylor called 'Eventide,' based on the music of Ralph Vaughan Williams, evokes the fleeting nature of young love. The work is melancholy and appears ingenuous, characterized by a classical, symmetrical structure, a departure from Taylor's usual irony. The dance's movements include a country hay, square dance, tarantella, pas de deux and processional. Photographs by Tom Brazil are included.
