Remembering Alexandra Danilova

Louise Kloepper (1910-1996)

Article Abstract:

Louise Kloepper, choreographer and dancer, brought an athletic determination to her performances and her teaching. She used clearly defined, broad movements that conveyed a sense of richness. Kloepper's mastery of dynamics allowed her to depict power, precision and fullness. She was both a lead dancer and a rehearsal assistant, showing others how to portray movement.
