Awakening the greatness within

Article Abstract:

Issues are presented concerning the preparation for the day when the war against terrorism has been won, after which a forward-looking agenda for full development of space resources will be needed. Space can inspire, educate and motivate National Space Society members to share their expertise to help students make sense of the events of September 11.

Space in the 21st century: a vision of the future

Article Abstract:

Space provides endless possibilities for exploration if affordable means of accessing it can be developed. With satellites a given in global telecommunications, the next direction is facilitating the movement of goods through space. Another possibility is space as a tourist destination.

Issues are presented concerning National Space Agency goals in achieving change as an organization dedicated to creating change. The level of knowledge about space must be increased across all facets of society. Issues concerning the role of education and advocacy are also described.
