Bring back the space council

Article Abstract:

The prevailing issue in the space community appears to be what the country's political leaders' visions are about the space exploration policy in the 21st century. Pres Bill Clinton's administration's lack of commitment to space exploration is reflected in NASA's reduced funding in the FY 2000 budget.

The joint report by NASA and the Space Transportation Association entitled "General Public Space Travel and Tourism-Volume 1, Executive Summary" finds that serious efforts should be undertaken to allow today's terrestrial space tourism businesses to grow.
