The future of space travel, exploration and colonization can be gleaned from an examination of the latest innovations in space technology. A discussion of future orbital transfer, energy production, miniaturization and engineering technologies and their possible uses in space is presented.

When will the real space age begin?

Article Abstract:

Innovations come about so quickly that it is difficult to predict the future of astronautics. Anything from space elevators to faster-than-light space drives is possible. The theories, scientific breakthroughs and materials that could make these possibilities workable are discussed.
