The once and future planet

Article Abstract:

The planet Mars has provided many people visions of imaginary Martian cities and extraterrestrial intelligence. In reality, the Martian atmospheric condition has been found to be unsuitable for any form of life. However, current studies on certain Martian features provide information that may allow future terraforming on the planet.

Article Abstract:

Asteroids, despite their size, possible sources of minerals, metals, fuel and water to support space colonies and space exploration. Hollowed out shells of asteroids from which minerals and metals have been mined can serve as shields from cosmic radiation and solar flares.

Researcher Eugene Shoemaker believes that two large objects struck the earth at around the same time in geological history. Shoemaker's research was conducted at the Cretaceous-Tertiary boundary in Wyoming.
