Article Abstract:

Experiments with the P.M. Research Solar-3 Flame Eater and Thames & Kosmos Fuel Cell and Experiment Kit are described in detail. The Flame Eater is an atmospheric engine that has features similar to the earliest of power plants and the Fuel Cell uses a proton exchange membrane, a solar panel, a multimeter, an engine, a fuel tank and other hardware to convert solar energy into electricity.

Jonathan Thompson 1935-2005

Jonathan Thompson, a talented artist, writer and researcher was a highly regarded authority on automobiles, auto racing and airplanes particularly Ferraris, Formula 1 and aircraft of the US and of Italy. Some of his books during his 4-year career included Racing Car Year 1973, The Ferrari Formula 1 Cars, 1948-1976, and the revision of Ferrari, The Sports and Gran Turismo Cars.

Article Abstract:

Different types of car races that sanctioned a specific or distinct fuel chosen from the six commonly used fuels in sports car races along with their influence on car races are presented. Some of the races with reference to their fuels that are presented include the Formula 1, Champ Car, IRL, Funny Car/Top Fuel and NASCAR.
