A tale of two trips, and an SCCA comedy

Article Abstract:

A comparison of two trips made from upstate New York to New York City, one by car and the other by plane, is presented. The traveler found that despite taking less time, traveling by plane is less pleasurable than traveling by car. A silly story involving the SCCA is also included.

Article Abstract:

A driver describes New York Times columnist Russell Baker's dislike of automobile travel and shows how enjoyable a trip in a Blazer sport-utility vehicle is. The trip is taken on Interstate 79 in West Virginia, which travels through some of the most scenic areas in America.
