Honda Element 2WD EX: Life in this odd box brings surprising utility and enjoyment, with dabs of unexpected wear and repair

Article Abstract:

Introduced in December 2002 with an aim to appeal to males under-25 with active lifestyles, the Honda Element sales for the 2003 revealed that it attracted a much older crowd with the median age of 42. The Element shined as a highway cruiser and road-trip car as it exhibited little wind noise at speed despite resembling to a mail truck and its thumping stereo, comfortable seats and lots of room made long excursions a breeze.

The new Toyota Avalon code-named 2GR-FE, the 3.5-litre is a destroked version of the 4.0-litre V-6 found in the 4Runner, and it features Toyota's first application of dual VVT-i. The physique of the new car is the framework of Toyota's Calty Design Research in California and has a 280-hp, 3.5-litre and a five speed automatic with a manumatic feature.
