The man who made the Mighty Midget

Article Abstract:

Frank Kurtis is known throughout automobile racing circles for having built the most winning race cars in history. His greatest race-car design, the Mighty Midget, won thousands of races all over the world from 1946 to the 1970s. He also dominated the Indy-racing circuit in the 1950s.

The event sponsored by Car and Driver magazine will remain the same as in previous years, but an additional event will take place on June 13. The winners of the race will be invited to join the ITT Automotive CART Indy race in Detroit, MI.
