The Hybrid III is the most sophisticated crash dummy available, and it is made by First Technology Safety Systems Inc and used extensively by General Motors Corp. Made mostly of steel and foam covered with vinyl skin, Hybrid III is equipped with instruments to measure impact forces during crashes.

The $16,000 Interceptor is a well-engineered hovercraft that can carry two adults, and it is powered by a two-stroke two-cylinder snowmobile engine. A fully enclosed canopy is suited for water travel. The hovercraft may soon go into volume production.
