Efficient production of artificially designed gelatins with a Bacillus brevis system

Article Abstract:

The production of artificial gelatins in a bacterial host is described. The gelatin analog contained tandem repeats of tripeptide units. The gelatins were easily purified and had properties similar to native gelatin.

A protein disulfide isomerase gene fusion expression system that increases the extracellular productivity of Bacillis brevis

Article Abstract:

Results describe production of light chain immunoglobulin G against 11-deoxycortisol and an enzyme of thermophilic archaeal bacteria. Data demonstrate that use of a thermostable fungal protein disulfide isomerase as a gene fusion partner increases the extracellular production of heterologous proteins.

Genetically engineered wine yeast produces a high concentration of L-lactic acid of extremely high optical purity

Article Abstract:

The lactic acid productivity with a cane juice-based medium is examined to achieve efficient production in an expensive medium. The results suggested that on fermentation inexpensive cane juice-based medium, L-lactate production of this recombinant reached 122 g/liter and the optical was 99.9% or higher.
