COTRANS: a program for cotransduction analysis

Article Abstract:

Genetic mapping using cotransduction data usually proceeds by calculating map distances through pairwise cotransduction frequencies, and then analyzing the crossovers required to obtain observed recombinant classes. COTRANS is a program which requires cotransduction data and outputs results at each major step in the calculation. The program improves the speed of analysis, and is also able to make conclusions based on rules of gene ordering. However, it also reports each of the analyses separately for the evaluation of the user.
