Class III HD-Zip gene regulation, the golden fleece of ARGONAUTE activity?

Article Abstract:

A study is conducted to provide insights into how miRNAs, likely acting through a complex containing an ARGONAUTE protein, regulate Class III HD-Zip gene expression in arabidopsis and maize. Many of the targets of miRNA-mediated gene regulation encode transcription factors with functions in development such as the class III HD-Zip gene family whose members direct polarity establishment in leaves and vasculature.

Regulation of BRCA1, BRCA2 and BARD1 intracellular trafficking

Article Abstract:

BRCA1, BRCA2 and BARD1 subcellular localization with emphasis on regulation of transport by protein dimerization and its functional implications is discussed. These proteins function predominantly in the nucleus to regulate cell cycle progression, DNA repair/recombination and gene transcription, and their export to the cytoplasm is linked to apoptosis.
